Every time I read this passage of Scripture, I think of a good friend of mine, Dorsey. As I grew, I helped a local farmer and developed lasting friendships. Dorsey also worked for the farmer. My father, the Rev. AJ Rozier, was his predecessor, so I gave him the nickname “preacher”.
After years in the U.S. Army, I came home and I repeat my friendship with Dorsey. He had married late in life, and he and his wife loved the Lord. Especially enjoyed Southern Gospel singing. In fact, Dorsey was a good good singer himself. I often go with them to talk about the Lord and sing a few songs for them. Dorsey wife, Amanda, was not in better health and Dorsey was affected by the inability of the wreck as a teenager.
